"We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are."
- Anais Nin
The power of photography begins with the unique vision to capture a moment in time and ends with a viewers visual experience from the image. Both the photographer and viewer see things as they are.
My life changed when I finally had the chance to learn darkroom photography during my senior year of college. I spent hours in the darkroom developing prints, engulfed in the magic of seeing image after image appear on paper. After graduation, I moved to Los Angeles, CA and my hunt for a darkroom to use lead me to Manuello Paganelli, a professional photographer who took me on as an assistant. That was when my photography education started. From those early experiences of developing my own prints to learning to shoot digitally, photography has challenged both my creativity and my life in a remarkable way.
I am a freelance photographer and graphic designer based in Kansas City, MO. If you have a project or would like to order a print you can contact me here or (816) 226-8234.
